About Us – LSC Bicycle Workshop
At LSC Bicycle Workshop, we live and breathe bikes. Originally founded in 2016 by Adam Pelzer in Petrie, the business was born from a desire to fill a gap in the local cycling community: a workshop-first store with expert mechanical service at its core. With decades of experience under his belt—Adam has been in the industry since 1999—he quickly built a reputation for precision, reliability, and genuine, no-nonsense advice.
As the business rapidly grew from a one-man show, it became clear that the next step was needed. In March 2025, Emma officially came on board as the new owner, bringing fresh energy, direction, and big goals for the future. With Emma leading the day-to-day operations, Adam is now back where he thrives most—on the tools—delivering the expert service and wheelbuilding he’s known for.
Now based in North Lakes, LSC continues to focus on what we do best: professional workshop services and custom wheel building. We proudly stock BMC and Merida bikes, and offer a wide range of parts and accessories. If we don’t have it, we’ll do our best to source it. No job is too big or too small—whether it’s a flat tyre, a full rebuild, or a one-of-a-kind wheel build, you’ll get the same care, attention, and expertise.
Our team is passionate about bikes, and even more passionate about helping riders. When it comes to servicing, repairs, and wheelbuilding, we’re the go-to crew. If we can’t do it, nobody can.
Workshop service work
Of course we can perform any work required on your bike, from the tiniest little jobs to huge rebuilds. But honestly though, most workshop work can be summed up in three simple quotes:
Adjustment tune - $119
Your bike will be adjusted, tuned and safety checked to keep you on the go
• Adjust and tune derailleurs (front and rear)
• Adjust brakes (front and rear)
• Minor wheel truing if required
• Tighten all bolts to the recommended torque settings
• Adjust headset, hubs and all bearings
• Tighten cassette and lubricate chain
• Clean the bike down
Deluxe tune - $199
Everything that is included in the Adjustment Tune, plus:
• A full strip and degrease of the drive chain and components
• Frame washed and cleaned
• Wheels cleaned, trued, tensioned and dished
• Lubricate all cables and working parts
• Adjust and tune derailleurs (front and rear and electronic software updates)
• Adjust brakes (front, rear and bleed)
• Ensure headset and bottom bracket are operational
• Adjust all bearing play and tension
• Check serviceability of all contact points, including bar tape, pedals and saddle
• Safety check and test ride
Complete tune - $349
Everything that is included in the Deluxe Tune, plus:
• Complete strip down and rebuild
• Remove, clean and re-grease headset
• Remove, clean and re-grease bottom bracket
• Remove, clean and re-grease pedals
• Remove, clean and re-grease wheel hubs and bearings
• Frameset cut and polish
• Test ride
